Can I stream or create videos of your games? What about monetization?
You certainly can stream and create video content of our games – in fact, we love it when you do! Send us a link!
As far as monetization goes, we do allow this with an important piece of advice: in order to not get any content ID or copyright strikes, it would be best for you to turn off the in-game music as a handful of our titles contain licensed music that belongs to their rightful owners.
The exceptions to this rule are the following games that have streamable music:
- Alien Hominid Invasion
- Alien Hominid HD
- BEHEMOTH
Castle Crashers, BattleBlock Theater, and Pit People all have licensed music, so create with caution!
Can I sell [Castle Crashers/Alien Hominid/Behemoth themed] merchandise?
We love how creative our fans are, and we also love making things with our hands! Key words: with our hands! We’re generally okay with people selling fan-merch they’ve made in small batches or as one-offs and commissions, but we do have some rules to help clarify further:
- Individuals creating and selling one-off, commission, or small batches (less than 30) of items for sale is okay. We do NOT give license to private businesses, storefronts, or distributors to sell merchandise based on any of our intellectual property.
- Original creations based on our game universes are fine, wonderful even! However, we do not give permission for anyone to use any assets as they appear in-game, official art, official logos or official marketing materials created by us such as character art, wallpapers, sprites, etc. in your designs, even if you do alter these items in some way, as these are official items created by us here at The Behemoth.
- Do not use our IP in any religious or political way.
- We don’t allow anyone to display trademarked terms or logos on their fan-merchandise. That’s because we use those logos on our own merch to let people know it’s official and from us directly.
- For any items sold using our IP, please add this text to the bottom of the listing page to make things alllll good across the board:
This product is not affiliated with The Behemoth® and is not endorsed or sponsored by The Behemoth®. Portions of the materials contained herein are property of The Behemoth®. © The Behemoth
Can I create a fan-game based on one of your games?
In short, no, we do not allow fan-games based on our IP as they tend to contain copyright protected assets or cause confusion amongst other players. We want people to be sure that when they see our logos, characters, and other assets in a game setting, that they’re playing an official Behemoth title. Fan-games can confuse players and lead to copyright troubles, so it’s best to avoid this altogether. We believe that you can come up with your own original game–that’s where we started!
The Behemoth reserves the right at any time to request a takedown request for content that infringes our above policies and property rights. The Behemoth also reserves the right to cease our UGC Policy and revoke existing rights for fan created content using our IP at any time, or modify these policies at any time.
Alien Hominid®, Castle Crashers®, BattleBlock Theater®, Pit People ®, The Behemoth®, and The Behemoth logo are trademarks of The Behemoth in the U.S. and other countries.

I have an idea for you!
Thanks, but no thanks! While we love fostering creativity and hearing that you have ideas based off our creations, we kindly request that you keep them for a few reasons, like we might have similar plans of our own in motion! Similarity between fan-submitted ideas and what we’re already creating can cause confusion, so while we appreciate you wanting to share, we will keep cranking out our own ideas for now!
Do you have a privacy policy?
