It’s time to announce the winners of our 2025 Halloween Art Contest, where we asked the community to dress up ANY of our Behemoth characters for the most haunting night of the year! There’s so much to uncover in this Halloween scene. Is that Necromancer in the back dressed up as himself, or is there a Bear inside? How do you train jelly arms? Why is Green Knight so smoll?

Something glorious about this particular art competition was getting to see so many of our characters dressed up as Miku. Maybe in a parallel universe, they could all join each other on stage and sing a Vocaloid mix of our favorite Behemoth tunes.

Another TwitchCon has come and gone for this big chicken, and it’s time to tell you all about our incredible weekend spent playing Castle Crashers, drawing silly creatures, and meeting creators!

First, a special thanks to our creators!

We had a blast hosting many creators at our streaming station this year! Thanks so much to everyone who took time out of such a busy weekend to play our games on stream and share the joy of The Behemoth universe with your community. We appreciate it so much and can’t wait to see you again!

RiverTheBardVT and friends defeated many job applications in the Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise DLC.Leaderkilla returned to stream from The Behemoth booth for the second TwitchCon in a row, this time joined by SarahsComic!
Smirky also returned to our booth this year to share Painter Boss Paradise with his community!Hollymcfolly dodged many cantaloupes and red eggshells playing BEHEMOTH, ending with a high score of 3,635 babies saved.

A chance encounter with a magical sheep girl?

At last year’s TwitchCon, we noticed these streams on wheels, rolling Vtubers around the expo hall. Imagine our excitement when one wheeled right up to us with Chikafuji Lisa on screen! It was a surreal experience to chat with a Vtuber and be a part of their stream during the con!

What would a Painter Boss Paradise celebration be without a space wholly dedicated to CREATION? The big chicken would like to personally thank everyone who doodled with us at the show and tuned in to the drawing stream back home. Can you believe that over 50 feet of different creatures were drawn on our paper roll??? BAAAAAWK!

*Bawk bawk*, chick-or-treat! The clock has struck ‘Behemoth Art Contest O’Clock’ and we have the scoop (of chicken scratch and contest details) for you!

This year in celebration of All Hallow’s Eve, we’re going to keep in the spirit of dressing up Behemoth characters. But this time, we would like you to choose which character from one of our six games to adorably adorn! Pick a Behemoth character, then pick a creation from the Castle Crashers: Painter Boss Paradise Steam Workshop that you would like that character to dress up as! The possibilities are (almost) endless!

For example, you could dress up Hatty as a Bottle of Ranch! Red Knight could be dressed up as a GREEN KNIGHT PLUSHIE! 🤯

This is the ultimate remix Halloween contest. And we can’t wait to see what you all cook up!

Rules

  • Your entry must be an image featuring a Behemoth character from any of our six games dressed up as a creation from the Painter Boss Paradise Steam Workshop!
    • Entries must be accompanied with the URL of the Steam Workshop item the entry is based on or they will be disqualified!
    • If you can’t find something you want to dress your character up as, maybe you should make it for the workshop yourself! YOU CAN DO IT.
  • Your entry must be an original human made image – no AI generation!
  • Your entry must be submitted through our form either on this page or at this URL here ETA: submissions are now closed!
    • You may only submit your entry ONCE, so make it count!
  • You must be 18 years of age or older, or have parental consent to participate.
  • Real, live humans with eyes will be reviewing your submissions, so please keep it to some level of appropriateness. Since we’ll also be posting the winners on our blog, please keep it within our game ratings, T for Teen!
  • If you win and you reside outside of the United States, we will be sending you a digital Steam Gift Card due to shipping and tariffs!
  • Your entry must be submitted by October 27, 11:59:59 PM PDT. All entries received after this time will be incinerated.

Three (3) lucky winners located in the USA will each receive a Skeleton Figurine and a Necromancer Plushie, staying true to the month’s spooky spirit!

We’re here at La Farga de l’Hospitalet at booth 68 to celebrate all things gaming, now through October 12th. Visit us and play our latest DLC for Castle Crashers: Painter Boss Paradise or test your endurance on BEHEMOTH, a game by The Behemoth. Barcelona Game Fest: October 10-12

First, we’re heading back to Barcelona! Following the legacy of Indie Dev Day, Barcelona Game Fest is the largest video game convention in Spain with a focus on connecting industry, innovation, and community in gaming. We’re stoked to be back and contribute to such a great event focused on uplifting indie developers!

From October 10-12, come visit us in the La Farga de l’Hospitalet at booth EXH 68 to play the new Castle Crashers: Painter Boss Paradise DLC and BEHEMOTH! To find the chicken on the expo floor, keep an eye out for the brightly painted backdrop and familiar games! This chicken can’t wait to flap over yonder, meet your smiling faces, and try out some new indie games!

TwitchCon: October 17-19

Visit your favorite big chicken dev team in the Indie Game Zone’s Booth #4725 to play Castle Crashers: Painter Boss Paradise and BEHEMOTH! Orrrr, take a break from the gaming and doodle Behemoth characters with Dan THE MAN Paladin at our drawing station!
