Here's some background... founded in 2003, the Behemoth is a small group of hardcore gamers with the modest goal of bringing craftsmanship and originality back to the game industry.
Our first offering, Alien Hominid, picks up where 2D gaming left off in the mid-90s, and continues the evolution! In 2008 we released our second title, Castle Crashers. It took us about 3 years of development to finish this title and all the hard work has helped secure it as the best selling and top rated title on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
We hope everyone enjoys Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers. With support from fans, we will work to make the best games the world has ever seen! The industry shut the doors on 2D because it no longer had mass-market appeal. We cried for many years, but those tears of sadness turned into determination to revive and evolve our favorite genres! We are now in full development of our third title, currently without a name called "Game #3. It is scheduled to be released in 2010.
Our development is 100% self-funded with support from fans who support our cause!
Alien Hominid HD is a fast-paced 2D side scroller where players must run, jump and shoot their way across the globe in persuit of the alien's coveted UFO. The artwork is completely hand-drawn and hand-animated, with character design by Dan Paladin (also known as synj).
The original prototype has been downloaded over ten million times on newgrounds.com (its birthplace and home), while also being showcased on hundreds of other websites. It was so good they stole it! Due to its popularity we began development of the full console title. Throughout the past 4 years we have released Alien Hominid on four different consoles.

Castle Crashers is our second title that released in August of 2008. This four player RPG adventure will let you Hack,
Slash, and Smash your way to victory. Featuring hand-drawn characters, Castle Crashers delivers unique hi-res illustrated visuals
like nothing you've seen before. Play with up to three friends and discover mind-boggling magic and mystery in the amazing world we
have created just for you!
Featuring an intuitive combo/magic system that allows players to unlock new combos and magical attacks as they progress through the game. Customize to your hearts content with over 40 unlockable weapons, 20 unlockable characters, and Animal Orb helpers to help you through your journey.
